I am a qualified and fully insured Counsellor and individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Our mental health and wellbeing is as important as our physical health, and I believe in the healing power of counselling.
I would like to offer you a safe, warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space to tell your story and explore your concerns. I believe in you, you are important and your needs matter. What you bring to the world is yours to uniquely offer and I’d like to help you find, and trust, in that value and self-empowerment, offering support on your way to find this authentic self. As a humanistic integrative counsellor, I use different models and a holistic approach, however, to me the most important foundation is the building of a safe and trusting relationship. In this you will have my full attention and acceptance, helping you to explore issues with sensitivity, and at a pace that is comfortable for you. I will stand beside you wherever you are within your struggles or difficulties.
In my opinion, there is a profound connection between the mind and body, and we often carry emotions physically, sometimes entering a survival mode for extended periods without knowing how to exit it. I firmly believe in the importance of acknowledging these emotions, and through holistic wellness, we can embrace and release these feelings. I discovered reiki during a challenging time in my life and found its calming nature beneficial. The principles of reiki have helped me maintain a positive outlook and enduring hope during adversities. In our fast-paced and busy lives, self-care may often be neglected, yet it is essential for our well-being and, by extension, affects those around us positively. I practice the Usui method of reiki and am a member of the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM).

Counsellor
& Reiki Practitioner
My interest in people led me to study Sociology, in which Social Psychology became my favourite area. I've always valued "soft" skills, so I pursued personal development courses in emotional intelligence and basic counselling skills. After navigating significant personal life changes and experiencing the benefits of therapy first-hand, I completed an advanced certificate in counselling skills, leading to my diploma.
Discovering that I am a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) was a pivotal moment in my personal journey of self-discovery, that involved not only understanding its impact but also learning to embrace and cultivate its numerous positive attributes. Consequently, I am interested in recognizing and exploring the effects of sensitivity and introversion on self-confidence, as well as their role in feelings of overwhelm and anxiety, and I have a specific interest in personal power, identity, and self-esteem.
My areas of interest, combined with personal experiences, have been used to support university students within a wellbeing team, assist older individuals through a counselling charity, and also serve as a volunteer for a crisis text helpline.
I am a individual member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) and adhere to their Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.
